What I Did Yesterday...

Wake up, make breakfast, get the babies up, diaper changes, breakfast, breathing treatments, change kids clothes, browse through children's luggage and toys at CSN Stores for Christmas presents, play with the babies, do our letters, diaper change, breathing treatments, lunch prep, lunch, nap.....well, for the babies anyway.

Wait, aren't you bored listening to my day?  I am.  HAHA!

Anyway, I found this super adorable suitcase at CSN Stores!  I can't believe how cute it is.  :)

The babies have been doing great with their breathing treatments, and they love their medicine!  Both sign or ask for more after they have polished off their medicine dropper.  HAHA.  I think that is totally weird.  I HATED taking medicine when I was a child, they must be making them taste better.  I just remember this nasty chalky liquid, yuck!

I have replied to every single one of my button requests, at least once, so right now I am doing a lot of customization and edits.  :)

I also worked on coupon organization, and I am loving what I came up with.  No, it is not a super orginal idea....but, I will share it with you soon.  :)

Remember when I mentioned their are a lot of giveaways coming up in the next few weeks?  Well, stay tuned a great one is coming up next.  :)  Plus, don't miss a upcoming CSN Review.

How was your day?  Have you and your family managed to not get sick so far this flu season?  I hope so.  :)

Discovery Toys Giveaway!

Have you emerged from your sugary Halloween coma yet?  :)  Well, hop to it.....it is time to embrace the day.  Yes, I know....I am entirely too excited for a Monday morning.  But, I have some exciting news.....

In honor of the Jack and Ady's birthdays this month, I have set up so AWESOME giveaways!

And to kick off our celebration, we have a couple of items from Discovery Toys!

Wendy, a Independent Team Leader for DiscoveryToys, has offered up 2 items for a giveaway.  :)  (Have you checked out her ad on the right side of this web-site? -------------->)

Yes, that means TWO of you have a chance to win.  :)

Our first item is this awesome children's cd called "Fingerplays and Fun"!  It includes all the songs you remember from growing up, and my kids loved it.

Especially Ady, she was a little bit grumpy when I put her into her carseat one evening....but as soon as she heard the music her little head started moving.  Both my kids have rhythm, what can I say?  :)

The second item is called the gLove Story Puppet.  It is a perfect tool for teaching your children animals, and staying hands-on in their learning.  Which, of course, we all love.

What child wouldn't want to be tickled by a cow, sheep, flower, pig, or butterfly?  :)

Living in an apartment, I am always looking for toys that function in several different ways, and Discovery Toys does just that.  Your child(ren) will: learn, be entertained, and know you care because a lot of these toys are designed for parent-child play.  :)  I love it, and I hope you all will too!

Wanna win?  Here are the ways you can enter:
  1. *Mandatory* Go to Discovery Toys and tell me what you love (that is, if you can only choose just one....*grin*).  Keep in mind, Christmas is just around the corner, so feel free to order your Discovery Toys from Wendy, our wonderful host.
  2. Follow me on Twitter - In order to receive the extra entry please leave an additional comment with your Twitter username.
  3. Announce this giveaway on Twitter. Make sure to include my username (@jenniferovery) in the tweet, and leave an additional comment on this blog with the date and time you sent your tweet. You can earn an extra entry each day by tweeting about this giveaway. If you do not include @jenniferovery in your tweet, the entry will not be counted in the drawing.
  4. Follow my blog. Please leave comment saying that you follow to receive the extra entry.
  5. Create a blog post telling your readers about this giveaway (make sure to link back to this post). Leave a comment with a link to your blog post.
The boring stuff:  The winners will be chosen by random.org, and will be contacted by me within the 24 hours following the giveaway.
P.S. The giveaway will end on Friday, November 12th.  Good luck, and Happy Monday! :)

P.P.S.  Thank you Makenna for being my model when Jackers wouldn't cooperate.  :)

Lunch Time Groove

Some of you may know that I am HORRIBLE about keeping secrets about exciting things.  Especially when there is no real reason to keep it a secret (i.e. Christmas presents, birthday presents, the sex of my baby).

So, it should come as no surprise that my children have already gotten one of their birthday presents (their birthday is in the middle of November!)  Oops, yeah I know.  I keep hoping that I will get better once they actually know what is going on, but who knows.

Anyway, I got this picnic table from CSN Stores....and they LOVE it.  (You might have to turn up the volume quite a bit.)

It was pajama day, fyi.  ;o)  Oh, and did you catch Ady in the background.....that is seriously the cutest thing in the entire world!

Oh, and I promise, if you get one for your little ones they will have the same fabulous "dance" moves.  :)

Happy Tuesday!

Dreamin' of Daily Life

Do you know something that I dream about?  Having family breakfasts.  (Isn't that a little strange?)  Right now, we eat breakfast, but at different times....and often different foods.  My dream starts off with me starting breakfast in the kitchen, while my children groggily walk into the kitchen in their footie pajamas, then jump up on a bar stool and say "Mom, what's for breakfast?".  :)  Then I prepare the meal, with my little ones underfoot.  We eat as a family, laughing and talking about what the day will bring.

I am sure to those of you who do have these little ones "underfoot" don't quite understand my dream....as I am sure, after a while, it might become annoying but I want to remember that each moment is special.  Each moment is a chance to be with my child(ren), and one that I might not get back.

The biggest problem with this dream is....my children can not, yet, speak.  Oh, and one can't walk (but, she is so CLOSE!)....so, for now I will just have to browse through all the bar stools that CSN Stores has to offer.  You know, because I need to have a couple of bar stools in order to fulfill my dream.  :)

Stream of Consciousness

We have plans to purchase some new items over the next couple of months, and I am excited!  My husband and I do not believe in acquiring debt, so everything we will purchase (with the exception of a house, which is not happening any time soon) will be done so with cash.  One of the exciting things I am looking forward to is a new couch and coffeetable!  Our couch has some "technical difficulties", and we have been wanting to replace it for several months.  And we currently don't have a coffeetable, so we are looking forward to picking one out.  :)

We are thinking about getting a sectional, but we will just have to see what is on sale and what we like around the time we are looking to purchase.  Based on our current trend of saving, we should be able to purchase our new couch after the first of the year.  :)

And last, but certainly not least.  We are seriously considering the purchase of a van.  Yep, that's right.  I will be getting a "mom-mobile".  I am even more excited about this than the couch and coffeetable!  I can't wait for the ample room, and the possibility of having more than just Z, the kids, and myself.

Working and saving money for the purchases you want/need is hard, but so rewarding.  I am glad we have had to learn patience over the past several years, it makes the item(s) that you buy that much more special.

Jack and Ady have been extra sweet over the last few days.  I love it!  I am totally digging the baby snuggles, and the funny expressions/attempt at words.  It is seriously adorable.

Here is a video of Jackers from yesterday.  He is super cute!

I will be doing another review for CSN Stores coming up in the next few weeks.  I am so excited!  I love working with this company.  They are fabulous, and have anything and everything you could want or need.  If you haven't checked them out, please do!  It is totally worth your time.

Decisions, Decisions, Decisions....

Has anyone heard of Le Creuset Cookware, do you like it?

You see, I have been looking to purchase more pots and pans for my kitchen, and now I can't decide what to get.....

They are just too perfect, however I want to make sure that they will last me a while.  Like forever, lol!

I am looking for a durable, yet attractive set....and I think that I have found it with these Le Creuset pots and pans.  What do you think?

I found these perfect Le Creuset items at CSN Stores (haven't checked them out yet, shame on you!!!)

Anyway, so any help y'all have would be greatly appreciated!  ;o)

Sofas, Loveseats, and Wedding Bands

I don't know about you, but I am always looking for things that I want.  Anything from sofas and love seats to a new wedding band.

Some of these wants are unrealistic, but some might be within my grasp in the near future.

It seems like all my purchases will happen after we have a house, which seems ages away.  But, eventually we will get there.

So, for now.  I will be content with what I have, and try to keep my large purchases to a minimum.  But, small purchases are okay.  Right?

It is amazing what just a little accessory (that doesn't have to be expensive) can do for a room.  Have you ever noticed that?

CSN Stores have an amazing assortment of accessories (and sofas....but, I don't think wedding bands.  But, you never know, they have everything!), so you will be able to easily find something to spice up your home.

Over the next couple of weeks, I will be reviewing an accessory for my son's "new" room.  I am super excited about it, and love that CSN Stores has given me this amazing opportunity.

I can't wait to share with you the pro and cons...as well as a few pictures, I am sure.

What little things do you do to spice up a room?  Did you find anything at CSN Stores that can add a little something to a room you have been wanting to switch up?

I know I did, but I might go completely broke if I purchased everything I wanted from CSN Stores.

Excited

I can not wait until we have a house. Seriously, I am so excited. One) I love that we will have a permanent home. Two) More space. and Three) DECORATING!

I can not wait to decorate my home. And my husband can't wait to have a "man cave". Complete with bar furniture like, bar stools & pub tables and chairs, and of course.....a ginormous t.v.!

Anyway, I keep looking at all these awesome pieces of furniture, and fabulous works of art....and it makes me REALLY want a home.

Eventually...that's what I keep telling myself. The time will come when we will be able to purchase a home, in the area we want to, and buy one we can easily afford!

But, for now I have to be content with what we have. I'm even trying to get my diaper bag obsession under control! Can you believe that?

Anyway. Thanks for listening to my wants :). What do you want? Are you in the market for "man cave" furniture?

Moby Wrap

Do you like the moby wrap?

I have heard a lot of good things about it. So, when CSN Stores offered me the chance to review a moby wrap, I jumped at the chance.

First of all, I have to say. The shipping is super speedy!

I was so excited when the UPS actually had a package for me! Rarely do I get anything from the big brown truck, but last Friday I did.

Believe me, I was pumped! I even called Hubs telling him how excited I was.

Anyway. moving on. Here is everything that is included in the box when it arrives, right to your door step I might add.

After I opened the box, I couldn't wait to try it out. But...both my kiddos were sleeping. So, I had to wait until Saturday.

Here is my first two attempts at a Moby Wrap.

One thing I realize is that it takes some time to get it down. Making sure that it is tight enough, and straightening out the fabric as you pull it.

Overall, I really liked it. It totally freed up my hands, and I was able to do a lot more things while bonding with my little babies :).

I will say that it made my back hurt a little. But, that is not surprising since holding my children for any length of time is tiring. (I have rheumatoid arthritis, so I am not saying that this will be a problem for everyone.)

Another "problem" I noticed was it was "hot" to wear (as in temperature). I am almost always hot, and really dislike it. Lol.

After I spent a few hours testing out the moby wrap, I convinced my husband to try it out. He really is such a good sport. :)

He had some interesting thoughts on the moby wrap, one of which I will not share with you. Haha. It was quite funny, but probably not appropriate for a public blog.

His first thought: "I love this thing, it "sucks" in my love handles." Selling point #1! And his second thought: "I will not wear this in public."

When I asked him why he wouldn't wear it, he didn't really have a good answer. Other than, "it's stupid".

Oh well, if your husband wears a moby wrap he is a bigger man than mine :).

My final thoughts? I love the moby wrap, and it has been my favorite baby wearing "device" I have tried yet. Is it necessary to have while raising an infant? No.

But, overall a good buy. Especially if you have a colicky baby.

Have you tried the moby wrap? What are your thoughts?

Online Shopping

Do you know what started my on-line shopping obsession? Cribs, diaper bags, and car seats.

I have spent hours, upon hours, researching and buying cribs, diaper bags, and car seats.

I should have just purchased in bulk, lol....but, who knew I would have two kiddos under the age of 1.5? I certainly didn't expect this huge blessing!

Well, anyway. Do you know what helped me so much in my search for the perfect crib, diaper bag, and car seat? CSN Stores, that's who.

Oh, and guess what?!?! They have so much more than just baby related items! It is seriously one stop shopping.

It is such a convenient way to shop because everything you need (or want *grin*) is right there.

They have over 200 stores to choose from, and fabulous prices.

CSN is also very focused on customer service. They aren't looking to sell you anything, they only want to direct you to the items you are looking for. They don't believe in "convincing" you to buy a product (I love this, who needs the stress of a pushy sales person?), rather they wish to assist you in your quest to find that perfect item.

And believe me, you can find anything you need right there. Here are some of my favorites (and they are all under $35!):
CSN Stores has graciously offered me the opportunity to review some of their products, and I am so looking forward to testing something new and different.

Look forward to an exciting review in just a few weeks! :)
