Jackson's Birthdate?
Last night I had a dream about Jackson's birth. Not too much detail (probably because no one can really anticipate labor and delivery), but we did an ultrasound and the date on the machine said December 8th, 2008. Now, I would give practically anything to have him be here before that....but, it is kind of cool to have an image in my head. I don 't know, I am probably just crazy!

Lack of Braxton Hicks?
35 weeks today! Getting close, and I am so ready for him to get here. So, I thought that I would tell you a little bit about how/what I am feeling. Still sick from last Friday, I started developing a terrible cough yesterday.....and I hope that it goes away soon. I am HUGE, sorry about the pictures....I have definitely been procrastinating with this little task. I hate pictures in general, so why would I want pictures when I don't fit in any of my clothes??? I am overall crazy emotional, I can watch a commercial and tear up, crazy I know. I am really hoping that this goes away, it annoys me and I am sure annoys Zach. My lower back pain has not been too bad, knock on wood, for the last couple of days. I am starting to get a little nervous because I have not been experiencing noticeable braxton hicks contractions recently. Does that mean I am not going to go into labor for a LONG time? I know that BH contractions are good because they prepare you for labor and delivery, so I just feel like I am getting a little behind. I am sure everything will come with time, but I just thought that I would share some of my thoughts. I am seriously hoping I deliver early just so I can see our little man!

Desperate for Sudafed
Last Friday I started getting sick, and it is just not going away. Being sick and pregnant is terrible because you can not do anything for your symptoms....like taking Sudafed, how AWESOME would that be! Oh well, hopefully it goes away soon....

Getting Close...
We are 34 weeks today! I am crazy excited! 6 weeks left, I am getting a little nervous about delivery. But, that is normal isn't it? Feel free to tell me your "terror" stories, it helps me to feel more informed about all the possibilities.

Back Labor???
For some reason I have a feeling that I will primarily experience back labor during labor and delivery. For the past couple of weeks I have been having an almost unbearable pain in the right side of my back, just under my ribs and near my spine. Last night was especially painful, I woke up countless times because of the pain. I could not even move without wincing in pain. I am sure this is nothing like what actually labor will be like, so....I am beginning to think that pain medication is the way to go. I was looking on-line, and based on the symptoms I have a pinched nerve, so maybe this isn't what contractions will feel like. I suppose I will find out soon enough, only 45 days to go, hopefully he is on time or early would be even better.

Belly Tattoos?
Today, I was feeling pretty lazy and not wanting to do much of anything.....especially make dinner. So, I was trying to think of a clever way to convince Zach that it was his turn. I went into the bedroom and took a marker and wrote on my huge pregnant belly... "Daddy, will you please make dinner?" I came out into the living room and told Zach that Baby Jack had something to say. I lifted up my shirt and he CRACKED up laughing. It worked out pretty well, dinner was made and we both got a good laugh out of it! Sorry, no pictures of that....it is bad enough to have to take pictures with my shirt fully covering my stomach.

First Signs of Contractions
Starting last night (I guess it was this morning) about 1:30 am, I started having contractions. So...not only was I not able to get comfortable enough to sleep (which is unfortunately normal for me) but I felt like something was tightening around my bladder. I also had a pain in the left side of my back, it felt like a knife was stuck in there and was being twisted around. That was the unbearable part, thank goodness it only lasted for about 5 minutes (that ended at 1:50 am). Today has been alright (really tired), but am still having the occasional contraction and quite a bit of drama. I would love to be in labor, but I know that it is too soon for the little guy....so, I will just have to stick with it. I am sure that everything is all worth it in the end. Oh, we also got little Jack's crib and mattress ordered last night! I am so excited, to have this done. Special thanks to Nana and Pop Pop for the wonderful gift! Now I just can't wait until I can get everything set up. I think the nesting phase is close at hand (not for doing the dishes honey, but anything baby related, lol!).

Night-time Blues

So....it's 3 o'clock in the morning, and I can not sleep. I try one side, am not comfortable...and then I try the other side and I am still not comfortable. What can you do? I guess this just comes with pregnancy, but this is my way of venting my frustration, lol. Well, I guess I will try to head back to bed. Maybe it will work this time... Oh, I forgot. I took this picture earlier (by request), I know...I am huge.

Summer Cold
Starting last night I have been having a very difficult time breathing, or "filling" my lungs. I hope this goes away soon....I think that it is a combination of Baby Jack and allergies. My doc said that I can take Benadryl, so hopefully that will kick in soon. Less than 90 day (hopefully) until Baby Jack's arrival, we are REALLY excited!

Kick, Kick, Kick
Today good ol' Baby Jack discovered my ribs....isn't that fantastic! As of right now it isn't too painful, but I can only imagine how it will be at the end of my pregnancy.

Labor and Delivery Advice
Yesterday we officially entered into the 3rd trimester, I am so excited! I can't wait to see him, and get rid of this sometimes unbearable hip pain. Oh well, I am sure that it is all worth it in the end. Does anyone have any labor and delivery advice? I am getting a little nervous :).

Does a good smoothie exist?
So, I kind of feel bad. Tonight, Zach and I went on a mission....I just had to have a strawberry smoothie, I had been waiting all day for him to get back from training so I could have this "treat". If we had been back in Iowa we would have been able to get a DELICIOUS smoothie within 20 minutes, but Utah just does not have the same quality. Zach got "home" (this hotel room is our temporary home), I asked him to take me to the gas station to get a strawberry smoothie/slushy...I was not picky. We stopped at the first one, but they only had mixed slushies...like strawberry and banana, yuck! Went to the next gas station, and yet again no luck. Well, we bought something but I threw it out the window, it was disgusting! On, and on, and on, this went until I suggested Zach stop by a restaurant (I was hoping for a Cheddar's but that is just a local thing). He went in and got a virgin strawberry daiquiri (can not drink when you are pregnant :(, lol). Unfortunately by this point I did not want the strawberry smoothie/slushy/daiquiri. Sorry honey for all the frustration, but.....your baby wanted something with strawberries!

Yeah! Pregnant!

Tonight I decided to buy a pregnancy test, I am two weeks late and I thought what the heck! I figured that I have been in denial this far I would get the easiest test to read, the ones that say "Pregnant" or "Not Pregnant". So, after work I went to take the pregnancy test, and stood in awe at what this little stick just said. Hmm....I think to myself, what is Zach going to think? Well, I went to tell him and he did not really have much of a reaction other than, "Let's go tell my parents!". I think that he is in shock. I am heading to the doctor tomorrow to confirm, so wish us luck!
