Zach surprised me late last night by coming home! :)
He told me not to expect him until Thursday afternoon, but about 1 am I heard the front door open. Scared the crap out of me, but YEAH it was Zachy.
No baby while he was gone, thankfully....so, now we can have this little punk-o any time. :)

Family Dinner
Last night we did our usual bi-weekly shopping trip, with dinner out. :)
This time, it was Culvers. We had a great time, and the babies loved eating frozen custard after their kids meals. :)

Building A Pool
About a week ago, Menard's had a 10 ft diameter pool on sale....so we bought one.
We obviously didn't know what we were getting into.
Our yard, unfortunately is not level.....at even a little bit. So, Zach spent several hours digging a 10 ft diameter area for the pool. Poor guy spent 2 days out there working on leveling that part of the yard. The 3rd day, I just wanted it done.....so, my pregnant butt was out there too getting everything leveled out.
Thankfully, around 4 pm we had the ground leveled out and the pool set up and ready to fill. :)
Here is our journey:

Bad Little Bug!
Last night, we put Ady to bed. Tucked her in, gave her a baby, kissed her little baby head.....and then, not 5 minutes later she started crying (which is REALLY unusual for her, she generally falls to sleep quite easily).
So, I walked up there to check on her. She was sitting in her rocking chair, crying her little eyes out. I calmed her down, and asked what was wrong. A bug hurt her, she said. :( Poor baby was so scared of this little fly that was flying around her room. She would jump back into my arms whenever the bug came too close.
I called Daddy in (the expert bug killer), and had him deal with exterminating the bug (which didn't actually happen because the bug disappeared shortly after Z entered the room). So, we retucked her in, gave her a baby, and kissed her little head, and all was happy in the world that revolves around Ady. :)

Our Weekend
Oh my goodness. We had an interesting weekend.
We left Saturday afternoon to head to Peoria, IL to stay at Embassy Suites (a hotel which we normally LOVE), but as soon as we got there my "mini vacation buzz" ended.
We checked in and received our room keys....proceeded up the elevator (which freaked Jack out!) to our room and slid the little key in the slot. The second I opened the door I was overwhelmed by the smell of cigarette smoke. YUCK! I don't have a problem with people smoking, however if it directly effects me I will let you know!
So, I called down to the front desk. I waited on hold for more than 10 minutes just to talk to someone who didn't know ANYTHING, so I asked to speak with the manager. While waiting to speak with the manager Z walks in and asks if I changed Jack or Ady's diaper. I said, "no I haven't"....then he said "well, let them know there is a dirty diaper in one of the trash cans." SICK! That is totally gross. How hard is it to empty the trash can?
Anyway the manager, finally, came on the line (another 5-10 minutes). I told him about the dirty diaper and smoke filled room. He apologized profusely, especially for the diaper, and offered to switch our rooms. Well duh! He also gave us a $25 gift certificate to the cafe downstairs, something we will never use.
Needless to say, I will be giving them a call this afternoon (I should have done it yesterday, but I didn't feel up to it). Hopefully we can get this situation resolved.
Ugh, anyway. Overall it was a nice weekend. We enjoyed spending time with Lauren and The Teenager, and the kids LOVED swimming. :)
We left the hotel Sunday at about 11am. We drove for a little bit, and I stopped to get a sandwich at Subway so I could have something to eat before I started my 24-hour fast before my colonoscopy.
The prep for the colonoscopy wasn't as bad as I imagined, and neither was the procedure....but, the cramps that followed were awful! I was crying in the car because they were so bad. So, I googled some ways to help with the cramping (they pump you full of air and this causes you to feel bloated and crampy). I drank some warm beverages (apple cider and hot chocolate) per their instruction, and it seemed to help. Thank goodness!
They discovered one polyp (which they removed and sent over for a biopsy) and one hemorrhoid, and I have an appointment next week to discus in more detail the results. We shall see.
Anyway, how was your weekend? Hope all is well!

The Long Weekend
This Labor Day weekend wasn't much of a vacation for us.
Z worked both Saturday and Monday (yeah for overtime!), which meant I was home with our kiddos....doing my normal everyday stuff.
We did get to enjoy our evenings though. We rented 2 movies from Redbox: When In Rome, and The Bounty Hunter. Both of which are great movies, however my favorite was When In Rome. It is a super cute, and classic, chick flick. Totally up my alley.
Anyway, we had a family reunion at a park across the river for Zach's side of the family. Our kids had a pretty good time, however they were exhausted by the early afternoon. Jack hadn't fallen asleep until 1am the night before (yes, I know. He is crazy. I have no idea what is going on with his sleep schedule.), and they had to be woken up in order to get to the reunion on time. They both did really well for being so exhausted.
What did you and your family do over the holiday weekend? Did you get an opportunity to relax? I hope so!

The Diary of a Mad Woman
I am shaking I am so pissed off right now.
My only words to him were: "Hand me my pillow and blanket". His response: "Why?". Me: "Because I don't want to sleep with someone who talks to their ex-fiance."
I don't know, how would you have handled it?
I am fucking pissed.
Alright, here is how everything went down. I asked him for his Facebook password so I would see the message from his Aunt regarding a "family reunion" we are attending on Sunday (they sent the details to him, and not to me....surprise, surprise (even after I requested the information be sent to me!)). He offered up his fucked up password, and I logged into his account.
I do not ordinarily go through his personal shit (well, I did in the beginning of our relationship....but, he was being really shady), and this time was no exception. I simply clicked on his messages and looked for the one from his Aunt. But, guess what I found instead? The first message in his inbox was from his ex, Amanda. (Btw, I fucking hate that name....sorry if you are named Amanda and are reading this. No offense to you, but this particular Amanda ruined the name for me.)
Now, I do have to say that the messages themselves were pretty harmless. However, a couple things are bothering me. One) Why didn't he tell me he decided to contact her? Two) Why have a back and forth conversation throughout the day, while at work, but he can't answer me when I call him? Three) What's with the "flirtatious" tone to his messages?
God, I feel like I am going to puke.
Shortly after I asked him for my pillow and blanket he came out into the living room and said that he needed to send her a message for "closure". Shouldn't he have "closed" the "situation" before we got married? Yeah, I think so.
I have an ex who tries to get in touch with me, from time to time. And do you know something? The first thing I do after I receive the text/e-mail/whatever is call Zach. I ALWAYS let him know about anything I think might be "bad" for our relationship. I want to be open and honest. Apparently, he does not. These "conversations" with my ex are nothing. We ask how each other is doing, and about our families. Then he says "he misses me", and I say I am happy in my marriage and do not want to have that type of relationship with him. Then it's over....for at least a couple of months.
Anyway, I just received a text message from him (yes, he is just in the other room) saying that "he wants to talk". I don't know what I have to say. I think that I have been more than forgiving with him and "Amanda", and I am not sure if I can do it again.
Thanks for listening.
Sorry if there are any spelling/grammatical errors. I am too upset to check over everything. Maybe I will tomorrow....but for now you will just have to "read between the lines". And I also apologize for the profanity. I don't normally swear, well....except when I am upset. Obviously.

Even More Random Than Before
Does anyone else dress their kiddos in matching outfits? Well, I dress them in coordinating outfits. Haha. My husband thinks I am weird, but I still do it. If Ady's dress has orange in it, Jacker's outfit includes orange. Do you think I am kidding, just check out my header. :) Well, I think most parents try to dress their kids alike, so I am probably far from alone on this one.
I think it is absolutely adorable when my son does "adult" things. Like the other day he ate a cheeseburger like a grown up. In between his fingers, taking little bites. I should have taken a video. Before, when he had eaten cheeseburgers.....well he basically tried to shove the whole thing in his mouth. So, we always cut it up into small pieces. But, he is a big boy now and doesn't need his cheeseburgers cut up. I can't believe it.
My darling daughter is not a very happy camper today. Almost every time I put her down, she cries. Which is not good for getting anything done, let me tell ya. She hasn't been sleeping well, or eating very well....but, doesn't act sick. So, I have no idea what is going on with her but, I hope it ends soon. I am gonna go with "she's teething". However, who knows. Jackers didn't get his first tooth until he was 9 months old. I am at a loss.
Drama is happening with my in-laws. Thankfully not involving me, lol. But, I can tell my husband is a little stressed out. Mostly (I suspect) because his Mom is stressed. Why can't people just act like adults, and deal with their problems? If you choose to do something, you have to deal with the consequences and all that goes with it.
Do you ever find yourself singing silly songs to your kids to get them to do something? I was singing "Blame It On The Alcohol" (or whatever that song is called) to Jack to get him to open his mouth during dinner. How inappropriate. Haha. Tell me I am not alone on this one? Someone else has sang "Poops in your pants, poops in your pants, every little baby likes to poop in their pants". (sung to the tune of "Pants on the Ground") HAHA! I can't believe I just admitted this. Oh well. It is alright to embarrass yourself, right?
Seriously now, do you like these posts? I know I should probably split them up a little better, into 3 or 4 blog posts. But, when I think I am going to do that I never actually end up writing them. So, this works for me. But, I'd still like to know your opinion. Thanks doll(s)!

What a face!
Do you see that face? Yep, that's his "I'm gonna do something naughty face." I love it! He really is the sweetest boy in the entire world, and makes me laugh hundreds of times a day.
My little mischievous boy did not get a haircut yesterday, because Z worked about 4 hours longer than he was originally "scheduled" to work. Well, he really doesn't have a set schedule. Which makes planning hard, but he anticipated getting home around 1pm. But, he didn't get home until 5:30p :(, and by then (obviously) the barber shop downtown was closed. Oh well, we will get it done sooner or later.
Hubs is planning on going to cigar night in Moline with our friend Brandon (Brittanie's fiance). But Uncle Timmy is going to come over and hang out with us! Jackson LOVES when Uncle Timmy (otherwise known as The Teenager) is over. Tim has TONS more energy than either Z or I do, so he usually wears the Jackers out. Which, as we all know, is a GREAT thing.
When we rearranged the furniture we took out all the "baby" stuff. Like the bouncy chair and swing, but Ady has been waking up so early the last few days, we have been putting her back in the swing in the mornings.....and she is loving it. She is swinging away as we speak, and she has been for hours. She hasn't slept, she has just been looking around and listening to music. Just like her Mama. I loved to listen (well, I still do) to music and rock in my Dad's rocking chair. It was my way of relaxing for the day.
What age did you transition your toddler into a toddler bed? Both of our kids cribs convert, so it is just a matter of timing for us (well, I still need to buy a bed rail). I am thinking of trying sometime during this summer, but I don't want rush it. So, at what age, do you think, is the best to transition?
That's all for now. I hope y'all are having a fabulous Wednesday!

Sleepy Mommy
Yesterday we rearranged the furniture in our living room, and I love it. We can now see into the kiddos bedroom (which was the reason we rearranged), and it just makes the place look bigger. I told ya I like to switch things up, didn't I? :) Jackers is diggin' it. He runs from his bed, to the couch, back to his closet, and around and around he goes. I love my crazy little toddler.
I love my little baby girl too. But, I don't like getting up in the middle of the night. Lol. She has been doing so good at sleeping through the night, but last night was just not good. She went to bed around 10ish and was back up at 3a, 6:30a, and 8:45a. I am guessing it is probably just because of the two shots she got yesterday. She was not happy. Or it could be that she took a VERY long and late nap from 5:30-8:30. Who knows.
My darling husband had me purchase new batteries over the weekend for all of Jacker's dead toys. :( We were down to one working toy, and even that was on the fritz. But, we now have new batteries in all but two toys...and Jacker's is loving it. Me, not so much. Could be worse though. Both Jack and Ady could be playing with noisy toys at the same time. I am not looking forward to it. Way to look at the bright side of things Jenn. :)
Hubs is going to be home early today. I love when he gets home early. He totally throws off our daily schedule, but we all love spending the extra time with him. Hopefully he will be home in time to take Jack to get a hair cut. This will be his third, and it still doesn't get easier to watch them cut off his little baby boy hair. I hate it. He loves the Twizzlers he gets at the end though. He is as happy as a clam after those two little red treats.
I realized yesterday that I didn't really tell you my favorite part of the new background. I love that my photos can be bigger. With my old layout I could only have "medium" sized pictures, and now I can have all the way up to "x-large". Yeah, I am excited.
Anyway, that's all I have for now. Happy Tuesday!

Ramblin' Mommy
Do you love or hate these random blog posts?
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ugh. Z just called me to let me know that he will be working on Saturday.
I hate when he has to work the weekend. Then he gets grumpy because he doesn't have a day off, because Sunday is laundry day.
Oh well. He has Monday off....so, hopefully that will be sufficient.
Good new though, it is all over time. Yippee. I love big pay checks.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
We put our kids to bed, at the same time and in the same room, last night! They both did great!
Ms. Ady still has to sleep on her pack n' play pad (we have it under her sheet)...but, at least she is sleeping in her own crib, and in her own room.
What person would want to sleep on wood with a little bit of padding vs. a comfy mattress. My daughter that is who. Weirdo. (said in the most endearing way possible) ;o)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I am sure many of you have had two teething little ones at the same time....right?
How do you do it?
I am about 90% sure that Ady is teething, and there are many time throughout the day I could lose it.
Jackers is whining, and Ady is screaming in pain (seriously, you'd think she broke a leg or something) to the point I can't even think!
But, after some Tylenol and Orajel everyone is fine. At least for now.
Currently, they are both napping (not in the same room unfortunately), and I am enjoying the peace and quiet....well, and blogging of course.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Does anyone else know their UPS guy (or girl) by their first name?
Ours name is Troy, and he been around since I was a kid.
It is an on-going joke in our family that my sister, Lauren, is actually his daughter because she looks totally different than the rest of us.
Well, not totally different. She was just born with (and still had) darker hair than the rest of us.
Anyway. Troy stops by our home about 3-4 times a week, and I wish it was because of an on-line shopping habit (just because that would be so much more fun!). But, it is just alarm parts for Z's job.
BORING!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Anyway. That's what is going on in my life. How about you?
