What's Going On In My Head

Oh.my.goodness.  My eye sight is getting bad!  I have to magnify EVERYTHING in order to read it.  Remind me that I need to make an appointment for the eye doctor.  Thanks!  :)

We have a fun and relaxing weekend planned, and I am so excited.  Saturday (around noon) we will be heading to Peoria, IL for a little hotel stay at our favorite hotel.  :)  Swimming, pizza, a few drinks = relaxation!  All of us can't wait!

We are also excited to be able to spend some extra time with The Teenager and my sister, Lauren.  Lauren is attending school near Peoria, and LOVES when we come to visit.

On Monday, I am scheduled to have a colonoscopy.  Without getting into too much detail (because who really wants to know, lol), I have been having painful bowel movements since giving birth to Ady.  My primary care physician thinks it is hemorrhoids, but wants a colonoscopy to be sure with my family history of chron's disease and other autoimmune diseases.  I am sure I will know more by the end of next week (and maybe even Monday....but, I am not sure how much detail the doctor will get into right then and there), and I will be sure to let all of you know.

I know this is a pretty standard procedure, but I am still not looking forward to it.  I am too young to be falling apart, lol.

And just in case you needed an Ady fix before the week, here she is!

She went into our bedroom with me this afternoon and spotted Daddy's hat....and she just had to have it!  I am happy to report that 2 hours later, she is still wearing it.  :)  What a little cowgirl.

Ugh.  Z just called me to let me know that he will be working on Saturday.

I hate when he has to work the weekend.  Then he gets grumpy because he doesn't have a day off, because Sunday is laundry day.

Oh well.  He has Monday off....so, hopefully that will be sufficient.

Good new though, it is all over time.  Yippee.  I love big pay checks.

We put our kids to bed, at the same time and in the same room, last night!  They both did great!

Ms. Ady still has to sleep on her pack n' play pad (we have it under her sheet)...but, at least she is sleeping in her own crib, and in her own room.

What person would want to sleep on wood with a little bit of padding vs. a comfy mattress.  My daughter that is who.  Weirdo.  (said in the most endearing way possible)  ;o)

I am sure many of you have had two teething little ones at the same time....right?

How do you do it?

I am about 90% sure that Ady is teething, and there are many time throughout the day I could lose it.

Jackers is whining, and Ady is screaming in pain (seriously, you'd think she broke a leg or something) to the point I can't even think!

But, after some Tylenol and Orajel everyone is fine.  At least for now.

Currently, they are both napping (not in the same room unfortunately), and I am enjoying the peace and quiet....well, and blogging of course.

Does anyone else know their UPS guy (or girl) by their first name?

Ours name is Troy, and he been around since I was a kid.

It is an on-going joke in our family that my sister, Lauren, is actually his daughter because she looks totally different than the rest of us.

Well, not totally different.  She was just born with (and still had) darker hair than the rest of us.

Anyway.  Troy stops by our home about 3-4 times a week, and I wish it was because of an on-line shopping habit (just because that would be so much more fun!).  But, it is just alarm parts for Z's job.

BORING!

The Pumpkin Patch!

We had a fantastic time at the pumpkin patch!

Zach and I were just expecting a farm with a bunch of pumpkins, but it is quite the spectacle. I was definitely surprised, and it will be a great fall thing to do once the little ones are older.

They had carnival type rides, bouncy toys, petting zoo, etc. I am sure Jackson and Madelyn will love it in two or so years ;o)

We took Grandma with us, and tried to get Grandpa and Timmy but they are "party poopers". Haha.

I am officially thirty six and a half weeks, and so ready to be done with this pregnancy. I can't wait to meet our daughter! I am so not as organized with my (or baby's) stuff as I was last time, but I don't have as much free time to spend refolding all the baby clothes, etc. Haha. But, I have to get on top of it....if I follow the same time table as I did with Jackson I will go into labor on Sunday. So, we are getting close!

Jackson is almost packed for the hospital...and I have collected most of the things that I need. But, I haven't gotten around to putting it into the bag. I have been told that I can not deliver this week anyway because both my Dad and Grandma are going to be in the hospital.

My Mom wants the stress in her life to be at a minimum =) I can't promise her anything, I wouldn't mind being in labor. However, I try to completely forget what labor is actually like....but, it is not working and it's kind of freaking me out. Lol. I have two fears....(1) having to have a c-section (because I wouldn't be able to pick up Jack for a while) and (2) being away from Jackson for two-ish days. I have only been away from him for about 12 hours at the most (and that was only once).....so 48 hours is going to kill me. Ah well, I choose not to think about it too much.

Anyway, back to pumpkins. Zach and my Dad had a great time trying to create my pumpkin designs ;o) We made Jackson's with three teethers, just like him! Oh, and Jack's pumpkin weighs slightly more than him...coming in at 30 lbs! And Ady's is her name because we don't know what she looks like yet. They turned out great, and I can't wait to take pictures of little Jack in his Halloween costume......he is going to be a dinosaur.

Weekend Getaway

Our first weekend trip with little Jackers. He did really well in the truck! I was actually surprised that he made it all the way down to Missouri without any stops, and only one on the way back to Iowa. Zach's Mom, Dad, and Brother are going down for the 4th....but, unfortunately we already had plans when the trip was set up. Oh well, it was nice to be able to spend this weekend down there.

We went down to visit Zach's Grandma and Great-Grandma, his Great-Grandma had not had an opportunity to meet Jack until Saturday evening. She was so excited to see him, and Jack loved hanging out with her. It was really cute.

Jackson did well in a "strange" place, although he did not want to take a nap ALL day Saturday. By 8 o'clock he was exhausted, but there was still so much to see. We went out and shot off a couple of fireworks, and Jack really liked the ones that didn't make much noise....but, the big boom ones he could live without. This just confirmed to me that we are not going out to Grand Mound this year for the fireworks display. We will probably drive out to a gravel road and watch the action, but between the hot weather (more than likely) and the loud noises Jack would not do too well.

Speaking of the 4th.....I am so excited for my baby's first 4th of July. It is so fun to be with him when he experiences something for the first time! Especially now when he is able to communicate (a little bit) about what he likes and dislikes. I went out yesterday and picked up his 4th of July outfit....which took me forever to find! There are MILLIONS of adorable girl outfits, but only a handful of little boy's outfits. What is the deal?

Daddy Leaves, and the Party Begins!

Zach (aka Daddy) left today for a business trip in Kansas City, MO....now it is time to have some fun. Tonight we went out with my Great Aunt and Uncle, and two of our cousins. This was their first time meeting Jackson because they live in Atlanta, GA. Everyone had a great time, but we did miss Zach (a little bit). ;o) We are heading to the doctor tomorrow to check on the new little one....then it is Easter weekend! Yeah, my little boys first Easter!!!
