Niabi Zoo

Today, Daddy had a day off....yeah! So, we decided (yesterday) we would head to the zoo. Today worked out well for several reasons, the biggest of which was the fact that it didn't get above eighty degrees. I can't stand the heat....especially when I am pregnant.

Anyway, we picked up Uncle Timmy around 11:30am and started towards Niabi Zoo. After eating lunch and having a diaper change we headed in, and it was a blast. Jackson really seemed to enjoy himself, however, he wasn't too interested in the animals that the zoo had to offer. He just thought: the rides and hanging out with Mommy and Daddy, was fun! (At the entrance of the zoo).

His favorite "animal attraction" was the Koi Pond. They have the biggest fish I (we) have ever seen! You can purchase fish food for them, and when you toss it into the water a TON of fish show up on the surface to eat the feed. You can see for yourself below ;o)

We took Jackers on a carousel ride, which he loved! He is such a funny little kid, he smiled and laughed the whole time while riding. I am so glad that I decided to actually put him on an animal that went up and down rather than sitting in the sleigh. He just had a blast ;o) You can see our ride below!

Here are all the animals that we got to see, well not all of them....but, some of our favorites.

Below are pictures from our ride on the train!

Here are some of the good shots we got throughout the day. We had a blast, everyone should head out to the zoo! ;o)

Day Out on the Town!

This afternoon Zach, Jackson, and I decided we would have a day out on the town. We had some errands to run at: Sams Club, and OakExpress. At Sams, we picked up a new set of stainless steal pans (I am so excited!!!) and were pricing diapers, etc. I try to be a bargain hunter ;o)! Then we hit up OakExpress to check out the table my Mom would like to get. I liked it, it would look great in their dining room. While at OakExpress we decided to check out the kids beds, and we found one that we liked for Jackson (see below). It was a bunk bed with a dresser and desk underneath, it also had a trundle bed. It would be great if you don't have a lot of space. It is called a Rustica Twin-Over-Twin Trundle Bed. Over in the kid's bed section we found these great giraffes. They are so cute, and Jackson seemed to like "riding" them. We went to Applebee's following our trip to OakExpress. We had great food, and drinks (a tribute to Chelsea Handler, lol)! We are watching movies right now, and I have to say I would replay this day over and over again. We had a great time!

Trans-Siberian Orchestra

Mommy left Baby for the first time :( Zach and I went to the Trans-Siberian Orchestra tonight, and overall I was impressed with how well I did leaving my baby. I was not concerned about Jackson, I knew that he would be fine (we left him with my parents)....but I missed my baby. We were gone for about six hours, and I was dying at the end to see my little peanut. I shook my hand and told Zach that I was going through withdrawals, lol. TSO was great! We both really enjoyed ourselves, and I think that Zach would love to go again next year.
