Shred #2, 3, 4, and 5

Okay.  I have a confession.

I have replaced the habit of blogging, and I didn't mean too!

In the last two weeks I have become even more serious about working out, and getting my butt in shape.  But, the only time I can exercise, without tripping over the babies, is during nap-time.  Which is when I would normally blog :(.

I really miss blogging, and have decided that I need to get rid of another habit (but NOT exercising) so I can fit blogging back in.  I love what blogging offers.  A daily diary for my friends and family, but more importantly for my immediate family.  How awesome will it be for Jack and Ady to look back on when they were infants and toddlers and know what they did on any given day.  And be able to, sort of, re-live that day.

Anyway, the purpose of this post.  Working out.

I am proud of myself.  I have worked out for 7 days straight.  Which, if you know me (or even if you don't and you just know my history with working out) that is fan-freaking-tastic.

The 30 Day Shred is evil.  That's all I have to say.  After Day #1, Hubs backed out on me.  I couldn't motivate him to do it again.....no matter how hard I tried.  So, that was downfall #1, and #2 was the fact that my knee killed!  I did the Shred for another 4 days on my own.  But, I decided that it isn't for me.  At least right now.  I am too overweight, and out of shape.

I am committed to try it out again in a few months, once I have dropped some weight and have built up my endurance, but until than I will stick with my Walk Away the Pound dvds (plus doing on walks outdoors, when weather permits).

Have you heard of Walk Away the Pounds?

I really enjoy it!  You pop in the dvd, and you can walk (along with a few other steps) 1-5 miles.  I find it entertaining, and a challenge (at the 3-5 mile range).  The background music keeps with the beat, and helps you to stay motivated.  And Leslie Sansone is a great instructor, and someone who I enjoy listening to for an hour each day.

My goal for each and everyday is to get off my butt.  Even just for 10 minutes, get off my butt and do something.

They say it takes 21 days to make something a habit, so I have completed 7/21 days!  After that I will add another weight loss goal to my plate.

Thanks everyone for sticking with me through my lack of a computer, and my lack of time for blogging.  I really appreciate it!

How are you doing?  Are you working out?

  1. Way to go! I completed the couch to 5k program (www.c25k.com) and that kicked my rear into gear! Now I'm working on the lean program from P90X and WOW! That's scary! :)

  2. WAY TO GO YOU!!!

That Shred is a killer. I lasted 17 days before my knees gave out. I just couldn't keep going. I was disappointed in myself, but I think I am just too overweight at this point for it to be a good plan for me. But I did see results and I miss that.

I also have a Biggest Loser Jump Start dvd somewhere... I should look for it. Seriously.
