Shred #1

I know I have said that I was going to do the 30 Day Shred before, but this time I am serious.

I have my husband on board!  Yeah!  He has agree to do it with me.  It will take us a little longer than 30 days because Hubs has a conference in there, but I am going to try and stick with it during his four day "vacation".

Last night I was talking to my workout buddy, Jessica, (who, by the way, kicked my butt this week!) and I happened to mention that I was thinking about trying the 30 Day Shred again.  I don't know what got into me.

Maybe it is because she is almost a professional workout person now, or the fact that the scale keeps moving in the opposite direction.  I don't know.  But, I am crazy.

So, today was the day.  We started the Shred.  Yep, you should be proud Jillian Michaels.  :)

We, of course, started out with Level 1 and it was hard.  Not as hard as I remember it being a few months ago when I was trying to do it, but still hard.  Maybe it is because I have my husband here to motivate me.  I love him!

The hardest part for me was the cardio.  That is a LOT of jumping around.  My boobs were practically hitting me in the face.  Okay, not really.  But, I thought it was funny.  I was trying to hold down my boobs, and my flabby tummy.  That is an exercise in and of itself.  ;o)

My left lower calf is KILLING me already, it happened about half way through the workout.  I think I might have pulled the muscle.  I am glad I have already taken some Advil, and I will rub a little Icy Hot on it in a few minutes.  Gotta get back into workout mode for tomorrow exercise.

I asked Hubs how he was feeling, and he said that he hurts all over.  He is anticipating a sore body for the next few days.  He thought the exercise went pretty quickly, and I think he is ready to do it again tomorrow. (I tried to get him to blog about it, but that was a no go.)

Again, I know I have said this before....but, I plan on updating you regularly with my progress.  Hopefully the progress will be positive.  Which I am sure it will be, if we stick with it.

Oh, and I should let you know that Hubs wants to lose about 75 lbs, and I would like to lose 100 lbs.  Think it is possible?  I don't know......

  1. I'm too chicken! LOL. I'm so sad I'll look for any excuse not to do it. But if ur gonna....I guess I gotta step up my game. Darn :o) proud of u girl. P.S. I would like to file a discrepancy...I am in no way a professional. Lol. I m just cool. Haha. I'm such a dork
