September 11th

I will never, ever, forget what happened on September 11th, 2001.

The memory is so vivid, and the feelings I had are still so fresh.

I was sitting in 9th grade choir practice, top row.  Our choir director's daughter rushed into the room to share with her mom what had happened.  You could immediately tell something terrible had happened.  She shared with the class the news, and for the rest of the day.....everyone was glued to the television set.

Watching the towers fall over and over again, people deciding to take their life into their own hands, and people screaming.

Whenever I think about that day, which is often, I become so emotional.  Those men and women did whatever they could to help protect our country, giving their lives....their future.....their everything.

I am proud to be an American, and will be forever indebted to those men and women who are stronger than they probably ever realized.

I will never, ever, forget what happened on September 11th, 2001.

  1. I was in 9th grade choir with you!! I remember that day to a "T". Natalie Tendall came back from a dentist appointment to tell us about it. We all thought "no way", so we turned on the news and sure enough, it was like nightmare happening right before our eyes. Life changing...
