Hubs and I decided about 2 weeks ago to do a no spend month for July.
We are excited, and completely committed to making this happen.
No, I have no stocked up groceries, diapers, etc. We are going to make do with what we have. I do have 1 more pay check to use before July, so I will be buying enough diapers/wipes for the month of July and as many food items as I can fit into my normal $300 budget ($300 every two weeks for groceries, cleaning supplies, diapers/wipes, clothing, gifts, etc. Basically any variable expense comes out of this $300.).
I really hope we will be in good shape to start the month! And I will be sure to let you know how my shopping trip goes next week!
We are allowing ourselves $100 for the ENTIRE month of July. We plan on using this for perishable items (milk, eggs, fruits, veggies) throughout the month. Do you think this is possible?
If all goes as planned, I hope to have more than $1000 to add to our savings before the end of the month.
Will you join me in a no spend July? I would love to see your links! Especially if you have done a "No Spend Month" before. I am dying to know how it worked for other people.
Here goes nothing......
LOVE the look of your blog AND the font!
ReplyDeleteGood luck on you no-spend month - I will be rooting for you!
Good Luck on No spending July. I'm doing 30 for 30 right now. Which it almost the same thing but no clothes, acc or shoe for the month.
ReplyDeleteI would LOVE to....but I honestly think I can't handle it. And my husband can't handle it. A whole month?! Does this include things like gas? Etc?
ReplyDeleteThanks darling! :)
ReplyDeleteThank you so much! Good luck!
ReplyDeleteYes, for everything. Hubs' company pays for ALL this gas, even none work driving. They view it as advertising. I spend about a tank a month, but since I won't be going grocery shopping I will just be driving about 5-10 a week. We live in a SMALL town. :)
ReplyDeleteWow! Good luck to you! I'm excited to see how this goes for you.
ReplyDeleteWow...what a great goal! Can't wait to see how it goes :)
ReplyDeleteI totally think you can do it. i would join you but last week we added a 1 and 3 year old to our house who came with nothing but a couple of outfits so we are spending a ton it seems on getting them settled
