5 Question Friday!

Good Mornin' folks :). How are you doing? Any exciting plans for the weekend?

It is once again Five Question Friday, and since I haven't participated in a couple weeks, I thought I would just jump right in. :)

1. What words do you use on your blog/online that you don't use in real life?
Very interesting question. I can't really think of anything.

I am all about being true to yourself, and acting the same in any given situation. When I was a teenager I would act differently depending on where I was.

I had a personality for church, school, work, home, hanging out with friend.....etc. Whew, it was a lot of work. :)

I guess I should say that I don't use "words" like: lol, irl, jk in real life.

2. Do you still write checks?
Yes! I love to write checks. I am not sure why I love it, but I do.

Plus, I totally don't understand our current banks on-line bill payer. My old bank was super easy, but this one....not so much.

3. Who was your favorite President and why?
Ooh, very good question.

Abraham Lincoln is the first that comes to mind. He truly had a heart for the people. Even thought he had a very difficult home life, he was looking out for the well-being of others.

I have this wish that Glenn Beck will run for President, much like Robin Williams did in "Man of the Year". If he becomes President, more than likely, he will become my favorite "current" President.

4. Are you a yeller?
In a negative way I would have to say no. If I have told Jackers to get out of the kitchen a million times by the end of the day I might yell. Well, I wouldn't really say it is yelling so much as raising my voice.

I yell when I am playing with Jackers....obviously in a positive way. He loves when I chase him around the house.....and yell "I'm gonna come and get you!".

5. Have you ever dumpster dived?
No, eeew!!! That's disgusting. I will never dumpster dive, unless my kids (and Lord help me if they do) decide to "explore" the dumpster and I have to go rescue them. Yuck!

Five Question Friday

I didn't get the memo that we should "vlog" our answers....bummer. Oh well, I probably wouldn't do it anyway. That'd mean I would have to make an effort to get ready for the day. Haha...not very high on my priorities list. :)

1. Did you pass your driver's test on the first try?
To get my actual license, yes. But, it took me twice to pass the test in order to get my permit. Probably should have studied a little harder, lol. Funny thing, I was so excited to start driving.....I started reading the drivers ed book at age 12. Crazy, isn't it? Yep, I am a planner. Lol.

2. What is your most embarrassing moment?
Hmm....I have no idea. Luckily I haven't had many embarrassing moments. Seriously folks, no idea. Probably tripping over a curb while walking into a concert. Pretty lame, huh?

3. What TV show would you like to be on- Oprah, Biggest Loser, or What Not to Wear?
Biggest Loser. I need Jillian to kick my ass!

4. Would you ever get plastic surgery and what kind?
Yes. I would love to get a double mastectomy (breast cancer runs in my family) and fake ones put in. How awesome would it be to not wear a bra! Lol. Also, liposuction would be pretty sweet too. Haha.

5. What are your favorite jeans to wear?
I don't have any jeans that fit, isn't that sad? I haven't gotten to were I was prior to babies, and I am too cheap to buy bigger jeans. Lol. I love sweats...seriously, they are the best!

Alrighty folks, here we go:

1. Have you ever had a celeb sighting?
Can't say that I have. I wouldn't know what to do if I ran into any celebrity. Lol. Around here, we have this weatherman (Terry Swails for you locals) and when I was growing up I had a HUGE crush on him. Fast forward to the ackward teenage years, I answer the phone....and guess who it is. TERRY SWAILS! I was stumbling over my words, and probably sounded like a complete idiot. He was calling to chat with my dad, what in the world?!?!

2. What temperature do you keep your house?
Oh boy, here we go. If I had my choice it would be about 65-66 degrees....all. year. round. However, my husband is always cold.....and I have small children. So, we normally keep the house at 68 degrees (sometimes even in the summer....yikes! Our electric bills are crazy!!!)

3. Do you notice dust at other peoples homes?
I can't say that I do. I notice it at my house....but, can easily ignore it. Haha.

4. What's the worst job you ever had?
Detasseling. This was the worst job. Not because the actual job is hard, but it is hot.....very early in the morning.....and very hot! Lol. Plus, your hands get kind of cut up pulling the tassels off the corn. Did anyone else detassel?

5. What is your most sentimental possession?
Hmm....it is a close tie between my wedding band, and the 50 cent piece my Mom gave me on my wedding day (it was my something old). Her father (who is no longer with us) gave her a 50 cent piece on her wedding day....so it was like a continuing a tradition. I love traditions, and love to pass them on.....so, this meant a lot to me. In fact, I keep the 50 cent piece in a frame on our book shelve in the living room. I love looking at it each and every day.

Five Question Friday

It's time, yet again :), for Five Question Friday. I hope you link up here!

1. What's your guilty pleasure?

Hmm....guilty pleasure. I really have no idea. I love reading blogs (if you couldn't tell), so blogging is probably my guilty pleasure.

2. What is your favorite TV series?
I would have to say "Royal Pains" is probably my new favorite. But, I have always had a think for Law and Order: SVU. Elliott is HOT!

3. Can you speak any foreign languages?
Nope. Took three years of Spanish in high school, and it didn't stick.

4. How many pairs of shoes do you own?
Shoes that fit would be a better question. After BOTH my pregnancies my feet got bigger....by two and a half sizes! So, I only have about 3 pairs that actually fit my feet correctly.

5. What's your favorite kind of M&M's...peanut, almond, straight up regular, etc.?
It is a close tied between regular or peanut. I would have to say regular because it tastes SO GOOD in a bowl of popcorn. :) Thanks, now I am hungry. Haha.

Five Question Friday

I love 5 Question Friday, and I haven't done it in a couple weeks! Not sure why? I think I just totally forgot all about it, bad bad bad. Anyway, these are the questions for this week:

1. Have you ever hit an animal with your vehicle?

2. When you see a string on your clothes do you pull it off or cut if off?

3. Did you have your own room or share a room when you were young?

4. Would you rather wear the same thing for the rest of your life or eat the same thing for the rest of your life?

5. What was your favorite TV show as a child?

Well, here we go:

1. Have you ever hit an animal with your vehicle?

Have I ever hit an animal with my car? Hmm, I am sure that I have. I don't recall hitting a live one, but I have....on more than one occasion....hit roadkill. Yuck!

2. When you see a string on your clothes do you pull it off or cut if off?

Always pull it off. Probably not the best way....but, who wants to: go find the scissors, cut the string, throw away the string, then go back to whatever it was that you were doing when you discovered the string. I don't know about you, but I often (and I mean often) walk into a room and have NO. IDEA. WHY. I. AM. IN. THERE!

3. Did you have your own room or share a room when you were young?

Most of my life I shared with my sister, Jessica. But, got my own room throughout high school :).

4. Would you rather wear the same thing for the rest of your life or eat the same thing for the rest of your life?

I would rather wear the same thing for the rest of my life. I need variety in my food....but, my wardrobe not so much. Plus, how easy would it be to not have to think about what you are going to wear?

5. What was your favorite TV show as a child?

Favorite tv show? Hmm...well, I became addicted to Law and Order: SVU in 8th grade. But, before that I remember liking shows like: Boy Meets World, Sabrina, and Step by Step. Did anyone else watch ABC's TGIFridays? I loved Fridays, just for this reason when I was growing up. I totally think ABC should run it again...anyone know why they stopped?

Five Question Friday

Hi Everyone. So I decided this week I would participate in My Little Life's Five Question Friday. Wanna join? Just create a post on your blog, answering the five questions found below, then....you just link up at My Little Life's blog. Easy right? So, here we go:

1. Would you ever vacation alone?
Probably not. I have no desire to spend time without my little family. I want them to be there, experience the same things I am, and hold on to the memories forever. Time is seriously precious with your kiddos, and I can't imagine missing out on all that time, just to take a vacation. Don't get me wrong, I might want, even need, a vacation....but, I could never bring myself to do it.

2. Do you go the speed limit?
Always! I am actually a freak about it. When I was 19 years old I was speeding (for no reason, other than I could....dumb I know), and I was pulled over. I got a GIGANTIC fine, and quickly realized that it is not worth it to speed. If you get caught, you are in trouble....and if you don't it doesn't really save you much time. How many of you speed limit followers have had someone rush past you, only to meet up with them again at the next stop light. Worth it? I think not.

3. Why did you start blogging/following blogs?
I started blogging to have some sort of daily connection with the outside world. About 9 months ago I started this blog, and I have loved every minute of it. It allowed me to have virtual conversations, when my little, 7 month old, buddy was still oohing and aahing. ;o)

I follow blogs because I like the way they write, their subject matter, and how often they post. If you don't post more than once a week I probably don't follow you (however there are some exceptions!).

4. Where do you shop for yourself?
Good question. Something that I don't do often, really never. But, my two favorite places to shop for stuff is Target or Old Navy. Can you tell I am addicted to Target???

5. What was the song that you danced your first dance with your spouse to at your wedding...or...what song would you like your first dance to be to?
Another really good question, and one that I do not have an answer to. Hubs and I did not dance at our wedding reception....and we don't even have a "song". I really have no idea. I guess that is something that we will have to add to our "to do" list for when we renew our vows ;o).

1. What is better, growing old with out money or dying young and wealthy?
Growing old with out money...however money would be great. ;o) Although, money isn't everything....family is.

2. Who takes out the garbage at your house?
Z is the one who takes the garbage out. However, it doesn't happen without a lot of "reminding". I don't know why he doesn't remember....especially when he leaves his trash from the morning on the counter instead of the trash can because it is too full. How easy would it be to take it out when he leaves for work? Ugh, lol. This will probably always be a battle in our marriage.

3. Have you ever had the same dream many times?
I rarely dream, and I don't remember ever having the same dream. The dream that I remember most was from when I was like 5 years old. I remember that my Mom had taken me to get immunizations for school....then, after that I laid down for a nap. During this nap, I dreamed about getting engaged. AT 5 YEARS OLD, haha. Just goes to show you how long I have wanted to be a wife, and a Mommy. ;o)

4. Can you play a musical instrument?
Nope, not really. I played the flute in middle school, and took piano lessons.....but, I don't think I could play either one well today.

5. If you owned your own store, what would you sell?
If I owned a store...hmm. Probably baby clothes. They are just. so. stinkin'. cute. This is the reason my kids have 4-5 times as many clothes as Z and I. It is seriously crazy, I have boxes and boxes of clothes that no longer fit them....or they will grow into. I need a bigger house. ;o)

1. Worst trouble you ever got into as a teenager?
To tell you the truth, I was a pretty good teenager. I didn't really get into trouble. Probably the worst thing I did was tell my parents I was baby-sitting late, when in actuality I went to hang out with a guy after watching three little ones. Seriously, that's all I got. I promise, I didn't really get into trouble.
2. Are you a morning person or a night person?
I am definitely more of a night person. Mornings, yuck! I would rather stay up late and sleep in, but that rarely ever happens. Well, the staying up late happens but the sleeping in....not so much.
3. Are you a one-handed or a two-handed Texter?
Most of the time I would say I am a two handed texter, however I can/do text one handed....it is just faster for me to text with two hands.
4. Democrat, Republican, or Independent..or maybe even Green Party (whatever that is).
I am a registered republican. However, I tend to have a more libertarian view point.
5. Are you a pet person?
Am I a pet person, no. I don't mind dogs/cats....but anything else is just too much. Jackson is allergic to pet dander so I don't foresee us having a "family" pet, which I am totally fine with.
